Hand Painted Pottery with Animal and Dog Art by Nan Hamilton Boston MA

Ceramic Easel from Scott Creek

Here is the frame. Some of the dimensions are on the photo. The wood is 3/4" in the frame and 1 7/8" at the base. The circles are plywood with high density foam glued on. The easel is bolted together. The other hardware you'll have to improvise, like the clamp at the top and bottom of the circles and the tightener to set the angle of the frame.

Here are some more angles.

When I am working on a pot larger than the 6" top circle, I use a soft plastic lid over the top of the pot as you see below. I have the lids in lots of sizes.

When I am working on a pot that is much smaller than 6", I stick another slightly larger pot inside to move the pot I'm working on down so I can get to the rim. Sometimes this can dislodge the inside glaze near the rim in places, so that must be patched with a little extra glaze.
