Elephant Teapot

Elephants Elephants

On this teapot, two mother elephants meet and greet, each accompanied by pair of youngsters. This teapot is made of stoneware, glazed in an oatmeal satin matte with underglaze painting on top. This pot holds slightly more than a quart and is 6 1/4" high and 9 1/4" from spout to handle. This pot sold for $275.

Rabbit Vase Rabbit Vase

Snowshoe rabbits are changing from their summer browns to winter whites. This vase has seems to have come from a time long ago. The background between the animals is unglazed black stoneware. The actual color is a dark charcoal but looks lighter in the picture due to the photo lights. This vase is 6 1/4" high and 4 3/4" wide. This pot sold for $350.

Gotwits Gotwits

A flock of marbled gotwits form a line in the grass. This vase is a design exercise in lines and circles. The birds rounded bodies, long straight legs and long straight bills set the design, with the grass land providing more linearity behind. This vase is made of stoneware, glazed in a neutral satin matte with underglaze painting on top. This vase is just under 8 " high and 4 1/2" wide. This pot sold for $650.

The shells on this porcelain bowl, although quite detailed, are slightly fuzzy and wavery as if they were still under water. The interior has a smaller band of shells and is glazed a soft pink. The dark exterior glaze has run a bit into the shells in some spots. This bowl is 5 3/4" wide and and 3" high. This pot sold for $250.

This bowl is made of rough red stoneware. The exterior is unglazed except where the feathers, collected from many different birds, have been painted on an semi-gloss glaze. The interior is black with two feathers, red and blue. This little bowl is 5" wide and and 2 1/4" high. This pot sold for $200.

Fallen leaves of every color and hue have landed on the rim of this plate. Three snails find shelter among them. This plate is 10 3/4" wide and and 1 5/8" high. A shiny transparent glaze covers the front; the back is a bright pumpkin color. This pot sold for $550.

Animal Line Dance Container

Line Dance Line Dance

A chorus line of enthusiastic animals dance together on this pot. They are waiting for you to turn the lid and make up new creatures. How about a dog with crocodile feet? A pig dancing on chicken legs? Playing with this jar is lots of fun! The pot is 4 1/2" high and 4" wide. This pot sold for $350.

The clownfish on this pot meet on the lid to form a star shaped pattern. The fish are packed together like sardines to form the design of the bottom of the pot. The pot is 4 1/2" side and 3" high. This pot sold for $300.

Camel Container

Camels Camel

What to store in a camel box... Beads unearthed from an Egyptian tomb? An exotic spice mixture from an foreign bazaar? Some Jordan almonds? This jar is 4 3/4" wide and 3" high. It's glazed with a shiny transparent glaze over the painted area and a soft matte brown on the bottom of the jar. This pot sold for $200.

Golden Eagle Bowl

Five golden eagles guard the contents of this bowl. The interior is glazed a rich golden brown. This pot is made of black stoneware. The bowl is 3 1/2" high and 6 1/4" wide. This pot sold for $500.

Ravens Vase

Ravens Ravens

The ravens strutting around this vase create a strong presence on a dark form that initially doesn't grab your attention. Hold this pot and you will immediately feel the intensity of these birds. Are they watchful, intelligent creatures to share your life or a darker, more onimous persence? The black clay pot has a black glazed interior. The outside is unglazed black clay around the dark sheen of the glazed birds. The vase is 5 3/4" high and 5" wide. This pot sold for $325.

School of Bluegills Bowl

A school of bluegills circle this medium size bowl. A few of the fish swim in the interior but most of the fish are on the bowls exterior. The bowl has shiny clear glaze over the fish, with a green glaze brushed with a lighter glaze to give a watery feeling. The bowl is 5" high and 8" wide. This pot sold for $175.

Black Bears Black Bears

Seven black bears meet around this medium size bowl. The interior is a soft green satin matte glaze, with evergreen trees in a shiny dark forest green, circling the interior. The exterior is red clay with the bears painted in a satin matte. The bowl is 4" high and 8" wide. This pot sold for $450.

Teddy Bear's Picnic

If you go down the woods today, you may meet this teddy bear family having a picnic. The interior is a soft green satin matte glaze, with newly leafed trees in a lighter green, circling the interior. The bowl is 3 1/2" high and 6 3/4" wide. This pot sold for $325.

Striped Sweetlips Vase

Four big Striped Sweetlips float serenely around this vase, joined by a entourage of small, brightly colored fish. When spun slowly on a turntable, these fish seem to swim. The inside of the pot is a shiny sea blue crackled glaze. On the outside, the fish are painted with underglaze paints, the sea blue glaze surrounding the fish. The vase is 5" high and 5 1/2" wide. This pot sold for $200.

Lots of things happen in the Magic Circus bigtop! Tabby tiger tamers! Chicken and duck trapeze artists! A turtle on a tightrope! This pot is made of speckled stoneware. The inside is the color of tea, the outside a matte oatmeal glaze painted with underglaze paints. The teapot is 6 1/2" high and 5 1/4" wide. This pot sold for $350.

Bareback Riders Mug

A dog, a rabbit, a cat and a pig confidently ride bareback, carrying magical streamers that float in the wind. This cup is made of speckled stoneware. The inside is a deep rust color, the outside a matte oatmeal glaze painted with underglaze paints. The cup is 3 3/4" high and 3 1/2" wide. This pot sold for $100.

These baby Emperor penguins cluster together on the ice. This painted porcelain pot has a shiny lid and base glazed in matte black. The interior is white. This container is is 5 1/4" wide and 2 3/4" high. This pot sold for $400.

This alert looking kestrel, a predator bird, will keep his eye on you. This pot is painted porcelain. The lid is is shiny and the base is a black matte glaze. The interior is white. The pot is 4" wide and 2 1/2" high. This pot sold for $210.
