Welcome to the East Wing 2003

Below you will find all the non-dog pots that have been auctioned on eBay in 2003.

Owl and Rabbits Salt Shaker

Owl and Rabbits Owl and Rabbits

A spotted owl and a field of rabbits, each with it's own side on this shaker. The owl looks contented and well-fed but one rabbit is alert and ready to take to the bushes should Mr. Owl decide to fly around to his side of the pot. This shaker is 3 1/2" high and 3" wide. This pot was sold in December for $195.83.

Parade Bowl

Parade Parade

Fill this bowl with your breakfast cereal, and you're guaranteed to start the day with a smile. The bright white background makes the colored parade vibrant. This porcelain bowl is 2 3/4" high and 6 1/4" wide and holds 3 1/2 cups. This pot was sold in November for $355.00.

Crows in the Corn Vase

Crows Crows

These crows stand out boldly in the golden light cast by the drying cornstalks. What a great place to perch and search for dinner of left-over corn. The highly detailed background is painted over a satin mustard-colored glaze with subtle highlights with underglazes. This stoneware vase is 6 3/4" high and 5" wide. This pot was sold in October for $660.00.

Dachshund Vase

Dachshunds Dachshunds Dachshunds

Eight Dachshunds stretch around this tall vase like pictures on a gallery wall. Painted on porcelain over black clay, the dogs are slightly raised off the surface. Their gleaming coats are a stark contrast to the stony, unglazed surface of the clay. This black stoneware vase is 9 1/2" high and 4" wide. This pot was sold in September for $358.11.

Seagull Bowl

Seagulls Seagulls

Summer is a time for a trip to the beach. Remember the good times with a seagull bowl! You'll find gulls all over this bowl, from little flecks in the sky to the two big ones in the foreground. The inside of the bowl is the beautiful color of the deep blue sea, with boats cruising around the interior rim. This stoneware bowl is 3 1/4" high and 6 1/4" wide. This pot was sold in August for $390.00.

Zebra Vase

Zebras Zebras

Looking over their shoulders, four zebras form a protective circle around this pot. With glossy black and white stripes going every which way, these handsome animals form an almost abstract pattern. The roundness of the animals' rears emphasizes the fullness of the vase. The interior is black. This white stoneware vase is 9 3/4" high and 5 1/2" wide. This pot was sold in July for $1395.00.

Rabbit Salt Shaker

Rabbits Rabbits

Two rabbits go eye-to-eye across a garden of early spring flowers. Is it love, a territorial confrontation, or just a discussion as to which flowers to eat next? This porcelain salt shaker is 3 1/4" high and 3 1/4" wide. This pot was sold in June for $144.55.

Duckling Pot

Ducklings Ducklings

Six young ducklings set out waddling after their mom on a trip to the pond. As bright as sunshine and just as cheerful, these Saxony duck youngsters are less than a week old. This stoneware pot is 4 1/2" high and 3 3/4" wide. This pot was sold in May for $202.50.

Goldfinch Pot

Goldfinch Goldfinch

This pair of goldfinch have settled on this branch, ready to sing their joyful song. Also called the wild canary, this is a popular cage bird but the best way to enjoy this lovely creature is to put some thistle seed in your bird feeder and hope for a visit. This porcelain container is 5 1/4" wide and 3 1/4" high. This pot was sold in April for $224.50.

Penguin Vase

Penguins Penguins

When baby penguins are very young, they sit on their parents feet to keep warm. As they grow up, they are more independent but at their parents' feet is still a friendly place to be. The thickness of the glaze caused some white speckling, making it look like the penguins are in a snow flurry. This stoneware vase is 6 1/4" high and 4" wide. This pot was sold in March for $367.00.

Flamingo Dish

Flamingo Flamingo

The sinuous neck of a pink flamingo coils and curves within this porcelain dish. One yellow eye remains alert. This small plate is painted with underglaze paints and is framed with a delicate border. The underside of the dish is black. This pot is 7 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" high. This pot was sold in February for $105.83.

This stoneware bowl is 7 1/2" wide and 3" high. This pot was sold in January for $710.00.
