Welcome to the East Wing 2008

Below you will find all the pots that were auctioned early each month on eBay in 2008.

Giraffe Salt Shaker

Giraffes Giraffes

The only time you'll find a group of giraffes so interwoven is on this shaker. Though giraffes are social animals and live in open herds, they tend to keep their distance from one another. Mothers protecting young and when lions are nearby are two reasons they draw together. This porcelain shaker is 3 3/4" high and 3 1/4" wide. This pot was sold in March for $154.02.

Amazon Parrots Mug

Parrots Parrots

Parrots and macaws are very social birds. If you bring a parrot into your home, you become it's flock and must give the bird the attention it deserves. The parrots on this mug aren't demanding at all. This porcelain mug is 4" high, 3 1/4" wide and holds 11 oz. This pot was sold in February for $139.51.

Adelie Penguins Vase

Penguins Penguins

Adelie penguins are the most common of all the Antarctic penguins as well as the smallest. They weigh about 10 pounds, are approximately 2 feet tall. Their simple black and white coloring protects them while swimming, providing camouflage against predators. From above, their black back blends in with the dark of the sea and their white belly is bright against the sea surface when seen from below. This porcelain pot is 4 3/4" high and 4" wide. This pot was sold in January for $356.00.
